All Inclusive holidays are normaly only include locally produced drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic and if you wish the better know or imported brands then you do have to pay for them. Some All Inclusive also do not include snacks or even ice creams. You do have to be very specific when asking about an All Inclusive holiday.
without seeing details of what you agreed on booking then its difficult to help. AI is rarely absolutely everything. In many places it does only include local wines, beers and spirits. I can't find the accomodation through Bookable Holidays - can you provide a link to it?

thanks for the replies i just think it is a bit misleading to say All Inclusive just by the wording it means All and the fact that with another company there is no grades of all inclusive that further muddies the waters as for the web page i saw that yesterday but when we booked we booked over the phone from a teletext phone number and were not told about this light the company said they would review the phone conversation and that would prove that they did explain to us the light aspect but when we finally got thruogh to them again they said they had reviewed the call and were satisfied they had explained it fully but when i asked to hear the call i was told no so i think that proves my point anyway this is just another little loophole these companies exploit and it is getting to the stage that you will soon need a lawyer to book your holiday for you
When we went to the Dominican Republic AI it included not only local beers, wines, spirits and water but you had snack bars where you could have things like chicken an chips, fish an chips, pizza etc anytime between 11am till 11pm included in the price, guess we must have gone heavy AI

fiona i telephoned travel republic and specifically asked if local spirits and cocktails made from these spirits were included and i was assured they were so from now on i think if you book over the phone you must have your lawyer local priest and a tape recorder at hand also i never thought you would get international brand drinks but local ones i did expect well thats my niaviety and i can assure u i wont be stung for £420 pp All Inclusive LIGHT in the Kontiki Club Lanzarote again and if anyone thinks this is a good price for 1 week there then i`m not alone in my niaviety but i think they should call it something else as this as i have said is misleading

first of all tony she left on wed morning and since she flew and didnt go by steamboat she arrived wed afternoon second if u think the deal and wording is fair then i have got a few things i`d like to sell u all for a reasonable price of course as for travel republic i can assure u i made a point of asking about spirits and cocktails as this is what is missing in my opinion from thier holiday and i was told they WOULD be included so my point is if u had no access to the website and booked from teletext by phone they can tell u what they like unless u record the call *edited*

I think the point re phoning travel republic is that he was told something different from what they advertise.
Re Bookable Holidays- they never did say what AI included and so little can be done. However, you must have some paperwork from them. Have you studied that?
Its just a bit of a learning curve I'm afraid- its great to be wise after the event but research, research before booking. I hope it doesn't spoil your daughter's holiday too much Brian.

Check everything before booking.....
We do not have transcripts of the telephone conversation so we can't judge who is wrong or right....The paperwork and T&C are what counts at the end of the day. If they state local spirits included then you have a case else you don't.
