Hi funkyoneboy. Yes, there are some nice restaurants in the old town harbour, I like Puerto Viejo. Lovely if you want to have a special meal

I too love Pinnochios, and eat there regularly, though it wouldn't spring to mind as a place for a "special" meal. The food is consistently good though

Casa Roja is a great little restaurant right on the harbourside in the Old Town. Try to get a table outside around dusk and it's a great setting and (usually) great food.
