From the flymonarch.com website under latest news it says there is a ban on personal meat and dairy export products
This is to help prevent the spread of foot and mouth disease to other countries, from 07 August 2007 it is illegal to take any of the following food and drink items abroad:
- Meat
- Meat products
- Milk
- Milk and dairy products
from animals that are susceptible to foot and mouth disease including cattle, pigs, goat, sheep and deer
This ban includes sandwiches, packed lunches and food for self-catering holidays including fresh, chilled, frozen, tinned, preserved and processed products.
