Hi,
Me and a few of the lads want a lads holiday in February, we want cheap and lively plenty of bars, clubs and pubs and warm. Anyone any good suggestions?
We don't want cheap and tacky nor too expensive and we don't like the idea of Ibiza.
The main thing is that beer is cheep!!!
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
I think Tennerife will probably be your best bet. The weather is usually good, and there's an endless supply of pubs & clubs in Playa de Las Americas. My nephew (21) went this year and had a ball.
If you want some sunshine you will need to head further away from mainland Europe. The obvious answer would be Tenerife loads of nightlife from the cheap to the similar price as the UK if you talking about the top clubs. There is the cheap and tacky here and the middle ground and the more expensive.
Other canary islands could be a possibility but perhaps not the same nightlife. I cant think of anywhere else in the low price market, nightlife that you want which would suit for February. Unless you dont want sunshine and beach then of course all the old baltic countries will provide cheap beer but you will need to wrap up warm.
Kind Regards
Stewart
Yes, unfortunately February does limit you in the "lively" stakes. Also, a lot of the cheaper resorts wouldn't have opened. I don't think you'd get better than Playa de las Americas for what you want. Have a look at the resort reports to see what you think.
What time of year did your nephew go at Helen T? Thats the age group of us lads.
The Red Sea in Egypt will tick the "cheap " and "weather" boxes just not sure you would find it lively enough . plenty going on in terms of bars and resturants but maybe not too many clubs. You would need somewhere in Naama Bay (sharm el sheik" ) or maybe have a look at resort reports for hurghada.
Or maybe Playa Del Ingles in Gran Canaria, warm all year round and plenty of pubs and bars.
Pattaya, Thailand. A little more expensive to get to, but cheap when you're there. Will certainly tick the weather box.
I'm leaning towards Fuerteventura though (that much cheaper than Tenerife although quieter).
Go for it men!
Helen T's nephew is my son so I can ask him anything you want to know about his lads holiday (everything he's prepared to tell me anyway ). 12 of them went on an 18-30 type holiday at the start of July.
I don't think it will be really lively anywhere when you go but if you are limited to February I still think that Playa de Las Americas will be your best bet at this time of year.
If you decide to go here feel free to ask questions about the place or trips etc and I'll enquire with my son.
Have fun wherever you decide to go.

Playa de las Americas in Tenerife, or Playa del Ingles in Gran Canaria should suit you for February. I was going to say Benidorm because it's one of the few Med destinations which opens all year round, but in February it's more likely to be full of retired people getting away from their heating bills at home! I know someone who went on a 40th Birthday to Benidorm in November and had a great time though.
What about Sharlm El Shiek in Egypt, is this a lively resort, will there be groups of young people. We'v been lookinng into it and like the idea of all inclusive beer!!

It will be only local brewed beers.
Dont think there will be too much of the type of nightlife you are looking for in Egypt.
Is there not much nightlife? On one of the holiday review websites Iv been on it said that it is busy all year and there are quite a few bars and clubs.
