Hi there! I would be grateful of some advice on Kenya and two hotels in particular please?
I am very keen on this destination for my next holiday - hoping to go over the New Year. We have seen a couple of what look like good deals on the net which combine a beach stay with a 3 day safari in Tsavo West/East.
I've read on here that many tend to wait until they're in Kenya to book their Safari as its cheaper. Is this recommeneded? What do you consider "cheap" and how much is a typical 3 day Safari with an independent organiser???
I am usually quite keen to cut costs but as this is our first time in Kenya, I don't want anything to spoil the Safari experience!
The two hotels which we've seen are: Bamburi Beach Hotel and the Sun 'n' Sand Resort. If you can direct me to reviews, I would be very grateful - I have seen some on other websites which are quite mixed!
Thanks in advance!

Bear in mind that the longer you go for, the more chance you have of spotting animals.
You shouldn't have any problems booking in resort. The only other advice I can give is not to book with the beach boys - they might be a lot cheaper but most are not insured so if something went wrong you could really be in trouble.
Also, if you book whilst in resort, you will already have paid for your beach hotel room, so will be double paying, though if you book in advance you may have to check out of your beach room whilst on safari.
Hope that helps!
I think we'd be better booking everything in advance for the first time, just to be safe - we'll do it independently when or if we go again!! I've been on Safari quite a few years ago in Zimbabwe so I know we're going to have the time of our lives!
Very much appreciated!
