Hi karl,
Can I just ask when you mentioned going over to the other hotel you had to see the front desk to get the drinks
was that to arrange your drinks cos at a rule they dont usually allow it?
Can I aslo ask about PEK in the evenings I am wondering whether my 12yr old girl will get bored or is there stuff for the inbetweenies to do?
do`s dont`s etc etc
places you liked ,places to avoid, blah blah blah
Sorry about delay
The sister hotel are allowed to use the night club facility at Abou Suffaine, so I asked the manager was it OK for us to use their facilities, he said no problem.
One couple told me they had been charged for drinks so I approached the manager again and told him our friends had been charged.
He picked up the phone and phoned their reception, asked for the gaffer and then played merry hell with him for 10 mins.
He told us to go over and if there was any trouble to ring him.
We enjoyed many a quiet evening in the Riviera after that.
But warning, it is a lot quieter than the Suffaine.
PEK port area.
Quiet place mainly bars and restaurants, nothing for teens
In fact there was nothing for teens in the whole of PEK.
Difficult for inbetweenies. Would suggest you treat them as young adults and hope they will enjoy whats on offer on the complex. There is a young ones disco before adult entertainment kicks in and it was well supervised when we were there.
They might enjoy spending a few quid on the bazaar type market in main town. BUT PLEASE keep a tight rein on them. There are too many nooks and crannies where you could loose a child.
Do's
Put your watch over your plastic hotel band while out.
Donts
dont get a taxi outside the hotel gate, get one on the top road 100 yards away
do's
Agree a fee for fare before you get in
4 dinar for port
6 for market
donts
dont offend the natives, they really do deserve respect for the way they treat us.
