Just returned from Antalya and stayed at the quite amazing Barut Lara Beach Resort.
It's all inclusive and boy do you get the goods. We stayed in a Junior suite which offered both a small living room and bedroom plus of course a bath and separate shower and loo. The accommodation caters for a max of three but there are other suites for families or rooms for families.
I could not fault anything about the hotel. The standard of cleanliness was second to none and could teach any hospital how it ought to look.
There are five restaurants whcich you have to book but that isn't a problem because the Divan restaurant has an amazing array of various foods from around the world (on different nights) and offers something for even the most fussy eaters.
You can have breakfast, lunch and evening meal in this restaurant plus various other alternatives for snacks & ice-creams throughout the day.
The service was excellent and nothing too much trouble. The rooms were serviced twice a day and delightful creations awaited us each evening fashioned from towels and bougainvillia flowers..swans and the like..on the bed or the bathroom would be decorated with flowers and while you were at dinner it would all be cleared away.
Entertainment was superb, something for everyone. They have a large amphitheatre in the grounds and the entertainments team put on all kinds of stuff plus acts brought in perform there too. They have a lively nightclub which you are not bothered by the noise and numerous other entertainments not to mention the spa!
You will have to go to the web site and have a look. We booked through Thomas Cook but ended up going via Humberside (from Exeter) with Pegasus airways and have never experienced a more miserable bunch of crew in my life. Still that's nowt to do with the hotel. Other tour companies go to Barut Lara.
We hired a car and to be truthful have experienced far more frightening driving on French roads than in Turkey. The hire was not expensive 50 Euros for one day and 80 for two. We drove some 400 kilometers round and about and saw a huge dam and the waterfalls at Magnavat and went to Side, Olympos etc. All good stuff but we needn't have gone off site.
Facilities for children are excellent even down to the tiny Kangaroo shaped loos!
I must shut up. We only came back today and will book up for next year tomorrow.
Good luck with your search.

Another vote for the Lara Beach area in Turkey - lots of really great AIs there. :)

We are staying at the Titanic Beach Resort - we are doing it DIY (flights MyTravel/ accommodation DIY Travel.com) but Eclipse had some good free child place deals end of last year, if you don't mind unsociable timed flights.

We booked on the strength of previous reviews, and also just the amazing look of the place. :)

Going to Delphin Palace later this month and Larespark in April.

Also been to Atlantis Belek and Club Letoonia in Fethiye both of those
were very good too.

We have just come back from the Delphin stayed over xmas and new year. It was fabulous, nothing to fault apart from the winter programme of entertainment but we we were not bothered the hotel and the weather made up for it. It has its own bowling alley and small cinema which shows 2 films a day one for the kids, has a play station games room internet access kids disco and the animation team get the kids playing footie and sports. Food was good, service was brill staff all very friendly and helpful.
We are going to the Barut Lara in july, hopefull it will be as good.
We are now looking for 5 star AI in Side for next xmas. Any ideas anyone.

I'd definately recommend Club Letoonia in Fethiye. We went there last september and sept 06. We're looking to book again for this september unless we can find somewhere better for a similar price (which I doubt, but take on all suggestions). The only thing against Letoonia is all the stairs, it hasn't bothered us though ;)

Have stayed at the following and all suitable for AI family holiday -

Club Letoonia - Fethyie;
Yasmin Bodrum - Turgetries;

Booked for Limak Lara at Antalya/Lara Beach this year.

All the above were no problem.

How come then at least eight have been recommended on this thread by people who have actually stayed in them? The Belcekic Beach where I stayed the food bordered on the excellent and I understand that Lykia World where I am going this year although only full board plus, also has superb food and excellent facilities.

How many bad AI's have you stayed at in Turkey, it might be best to name them so that the original poster who came on for advice can give them a wide berth ?

Never had a bad A/I in Turkey .In fact I would go as far as saying that on the whole the Standard of A/Is in turkey are better than I have experienced in other countries . top of the list he Belcekiz Beach . ;)

Emma Louise - We have been to several AI's in Turkey;

Pine Bay Resort -Kusadasi

Bodrum Princess-Turkbuku, Bodrum

Club Letoonia - Fethiye

Concorde Resort - Lara Beach, Antalya

Titanic - Lara Beach

Queen Elizabeth Goynuk,Kemer

Atlantis Resort - Belek

Every single one of them was amazing, ok - at some food was better than others, rooms better at some,drinks better at others, beach better at others, but overall each and everyone of them was excellent.

Put it this way, if these hotels were in the UK, the likes of you and me wouldn't be able to afford to stay in them...... The standard of cleanliness in each of them was outstanding.

can anyone advise on the following hotels Litara de luxe in Icmeler Litara Labranda Bodrum and the Litara Royal Marin in Gumbet have looked for reports on these hotels but come up with nothing thinking maybe they are hotels that have been renamed can anyone help?they are classed as 5star all inclusive
Reply
Litara de luxe in Icmeler Litara Labranda Bodrum and the Litara Royal Marin are all operated by Goldtrail whom change names of the Hotels on a regular basis, Just think about why they change the names of the Hotels?

Admittedly I have never used goldtrail but I can safely say after all the reviews and stories I read on here there is no way I would ever book A/I for anywhere that goldtrail uses unless it had very good reviews.
