I have just read somewhere else that these properties no longer give out Fun Books when you check in.
I'm a bit disappointed about that, because I used to like using my free drink coupons at the bars in the Coast properties. There were some useful food coupons in there too.
Never mind. It seems that all the cheapskate things in Vegas are slowly disappearing.
Don't anyone run out and buy this book for next year though - coupons expire each december so anyone going next year will need the 2008 edition - published this November and will be available soon.
Yes Lesley, I already have my ACG and POV for the great coupons they provide. It's just that we used to really like the Coast Fun books and will miss them on our next trip.
I know, it's a shame when they do away with coupons. I remember on our earlier trips (we started going in 2000), there were much more coupons in the magazines around town. It disappoints me if I don't get the same bargains on my next trip!! I even feel like that with shopping sometimes, if I'm not finding the great deals I found on all the previous trips I get sad. No wonder my husband calls me Les Miserables. (Les as in Lesley).
We first went in 1988 and came back with loads of freebies such as baseball caps, pens and glasses just for going into the casinos. We didn't even have to sign up to their player's cards. Changed days.
