We chose the Sonesta Club. We Stayed at Three Corners (St George) Last year. The Kiroseiz shares its beach, which is a bus ride away. It was also a bus ride to Naama Bay. Te bus was always full, and it was first come first served, so everyone was pushing to get on. It put me off to be honest.
The Sonesta club is nicely laid out but smaller than some hotels, you need to upgrade your room if you like space....some rooms are fairly small for a family. You can cross the peace road over through the back of the Sonesta beach Resort to the shared beach, it is private to the Sonesta Beach and club, but the Sofitel use it as well.
thanks for your replies do you reccommende any othrer hotels in naam bay
There are 6-7 pools all with swim up bars now, and the one (Cactus pool) is in the 2000 block, but you have great views all around as it is up a hill. We have everything on campus, and a beach that has plenty of free towels and beds, plus a restaurant and bar. The Oonas restaurant is used for divers but everyone goes in their and the roof top bar at night to have a smoke on the shisa pipes. Unfortunately the sonesta beach has spoiled things as its now A1, they did do b & b, HB and A1. For entertainment, food and rooms (good ones if you book with thomson/portland).
Other nearer ones with Longwoods a egypt speciaist are The novatel, which does do b & b, the Jolie-ville that does Hb and A1, the Marriott (beach side), First choice do a good selection as well. All these hotels i choose are 20 mins walk into resort along a promenade full of singers and restaurants, either indoors or out. You can eat on the beach as well. The jolie-ville is lovely and the entertainment is quite good as well.
All the above hotels are right on the beach but offer different facilities. They look and most likely are more up market than the Sonesta beach, but i am not one for posh hotels and watching what i wear The hiltons rooms are normal med rooms nothing special but newer.
Down this end also you can see doctors and pharmacys are nearby.
Actually in Naama bay Briarskeg the moderator used to go to the Kahramana(think that's the one?), it is in the dead centre of Naama Bay up a side street, the Dananeer restaurant is at the bottom. Other hotels around that area are the Naama Bay hotel, this is 5* and looks very grande, but a lovely drum bashing outside from our dancing friends above, its unusal but you can here it for miles
For peace and tranquility you need to head out of Naama Bay to some lovely hotels, eg, the Coral sea resort, i mention that as it always has 5* write ups. For getting into the Naama Bay area, you can either get a bus or a cab which you barter for first.
All trips you can use the tour reps or buy your own from a excursion bureau.
I hope that helps a little

To help you a little heres a map of Naama Bay hotels and other areas in Sharm.
The sonesta beach is 95 right on the right of the map, all those hotels nearby are along the promenade. The Sonesta club is 100.

thanks for your replies they are very helpful i have now ben reccommended tropicanna rosetta any views on that hotel thanks
if i remember right this hotel is also on the opposite road being the peace road, like a smaller version of a duel carriageway, you havent got a beach near your hotel, but you cross the peace road and within 10 mins you are in the back of the Gafy hotel onto their beach which is next to our hotel.
The hotel is about a 20 min walk from the Sonesta Club on the same side, both you have to cross a fairly but easy road.
Heres HT reviews.....

thanks for that information i think i am going to go with sonesta club as i have got a good price with portland direct. Any negatives on this hotel
When booking if you are able, ask for the larger rooms as some are quite small if you have a family.
The hotel is situated not far from a very good pharmacy, there is also a Mcdonalds further down as well.
To get to the beach, exit the hotel, cross the peace road by going into the back of SBR through the casino i think, it is a 10 mins walk through the hotel grounds, then you reach the beach.
Before you book read HT reviews and theres a lot of good reviews on Tripadviser.
What month are you going?
Feb - April - 80s/90s
May - Aug - (90s - 130)
Sept - Nov - (90-80s)
Dec - Feb - (70s) maybe a bit of rain? cooler at night.
I have been May, June, July and August.
October is the best time for temps and Sharm gets packed(so the locals say).
