Well you live and learn, I thought they were nearly all 4 bedded rooms.
Have you still got your old invoice - see what it says. Ours said room for 1 to 4 people.

we are now looking at mid june. can anyone tell us what the child level is like at this time?
It will be quite high. My daughter went towards the end of June and she said it was busy. My granddaughter made lots of friends.
Im going next August to F.O and it will be choca with kids which we dont mind. Been to other resorts that were less child freindly in August and to be honest found it boring and less livley.
going back for honeymoon early june 08.
I'm just back from a fortnight in the FO.
We were last there in May 2006 and could not fault the hotel at all - on any count. This time I have to admit I saw a slight decline in a number of areas, although its still the best all inclusive I've stayed in and I will still return. The hotel itself had a number of areas that looked in need of repair/decoration, the most concerning one being the facing concrete on the balconys of the corner of the hotel above the kids playpark. When we arrived I noticed a corner facing slab had fallen off one of the balconys previously and commented on it to my hubby. Halfway through our holiday there was a major thunderstorm with very heavy rain and that showed up a number of problems in the hotel...We were sitting watching the entertainment when water started pouring in under the doors in rivers!
The following morning the area around the kiddie park was cordoned off to stop people sitting/walking under that corner of the building. A day or so later a concrete slab fell, hit another on the way down and both fell to the pool area, shattering pieces of brick over people nearby. Scary. That whole area was still sectioned off when we left so they are obviously worried more will come away. The night of the storm the hotel started pouring water in all over the ground floor. There was flooding in the veranda bar, reception, dining hall and piano bar, although they did a very good job of cleaning up overnight.
I also thought there was slightly less choice in the food and it wasn't the same quality as last year. Although, again it's STILL the best all inclusive I've been to. I was told by a couple of very regular guests that the public areas of the hotel are to be refurbished over the winter including some building works so hopefully anyone visiting next year will see no problems.
I would say that if you've visited previously, and are returning before the refurb, you might feel areas are a bit shabby. I do love this hotel though so am hoping the refurb will make a difference and I will be booking again in future.
Thanks for that scottishnellie. I'll see how it is when I visit in 5 weeks, hopefull still standing lol

thought I would say hi seen as I was on the internet.
Weather is very nice at the mo, bit windy, hotel is ok, I'm a bit dissapointed with it but glad of a break.
Tons of sunbeds available, food is not too bad.
Will post full report when back.
Glad your enjoying it look foward to reading your report
nice to see some more HT members having a meet up
Danny
what is disappointing you katy?
what rooms are nice, nice views ect big and what floors, as i have boooked this hotel for next july x
thanks for that x
We had a thunderstorm on thurs and the roof was leaking from virtually everywhere. The food was ok, a good enough choice of foods and salads, but it was just ok nothing spectacular. Lifts are a nightmare, but was warned that by others, 1940's cot for the baby. The maids were great though, the hotel was very clean.
My partner was sworn at and threatened by the lifeguard as he was wearing a t-shirt in the pool (he didn't realise)
I don't think I will be returning, I think I prefer smaller hotels, I have never seen so many people fighting over sausage rolls before.
I will post a full review when I get chance, off to tackle the huge washing pile
P.S Danny, we got a low room on the 2nd floor, not noisy though as no outside entertainment after 29 Sep.
Katy
Luckily we got the last one single room available for that date at £150 more so not bad at all.
Cant wait too tell him when he gets home from school as he loved Flamingo Oasis when we was there at Easter he made loads of freinds.
Obviously the weather didnt help as they had some really bad rainfall, and he said it was raining in all over the hotel.
If we manage to get there in a couple of weeks will let you know our findings. Although I have to say that when I visited in February I couldnt fault it!

Virtually every bit of the roof leaked when it rained when we were there, they had to put the lift out of service that goes down to the restaurant as there was water pouring though it, I can't understand why they dont repair the roof?
There were towles and buckets out everywhere at easter... and it poured it down mostly when i was there out of 2 weeks got about on avarage 4 days of sun
