Last train from the airport to Fuengirola is at 22:44.

Fuengirola is the last stop on the line so just keep going until you can't go any further. There are announcements in Spanish and English as you approach each station as well as an illuminated display over the train's exit doors telling you the name of the next station.

From baggage reclaim at Malaga airport, go through to the public area and take any lift to the 'Departures' floor above. Go out out of any door and turn right. Walk along the outside of the building until you come to the last pedestrian crossing. Cross the road and go into the short stay car park. You should now see red & white signs showing a picture of the front of a train.

Walk through the car park as far as you can, then turn right where you will see a footbridge over the road. Go over the bridge and down the ramp. As you walk down the ramp, you will see the train station over to your left.

You can take your airport baggage trolley right to the station and leave it there. The station is un-manned so you must buy your ticket from a machine. It's easy to use with both Spanish and English on the screen. Fare to Fuengirola is €2.40 (adult single).

Las Rampas is on the beach front isn`t it?.If so just follow the road down to the beach from the bus station, there is a big Estate agents Andalusea Dream Homes.the Marina faces it.i have stayed there 3 yrs ago.You can get a taxi from the station for a few euros if you don`t want to walk with your cases at night.

Thank you so much for your help. Most appreciated :) . Las Rampas is not actually on the beach front, but is close to a shopping centre and Dunnes Store. I know it isn't far from the station, but don't want to take a wrong turn and end up getting lost. :(

Fuengirola station is underground. As you come up out of the station, you are at a roundabout. you need to cross over the main road and walk down Calle Alfonso XIII towards the beach/marina. In about 100 metres you come to a set of traffic lights at Avenida Saenz de Tejada. If you turn left at those traffic lights, Dunnes Stores are along there on the R.H. side of the road. Sorry, I don't know the exact location of your hotel.

Just had a look at the Las Rampas website. The hotel address is given as Calle Jacinto Benavente which is the road that goes straight on at the traffic lights in my earlier post. So don't turn left towards Dunnes Stores, just carry straight on towards the beach & marina !

Good Luck !

But don`t go down to the Marina! about half way down that street you will see a ramp on your right going into Dunnes. The entrance to the hotel is at the front of the stores and is actually built on top of the shopping centre called Las Rampas. Just ask in one of the British bars or cafes.

I checked the fare to Fuengirola at the airport train station today. It's only €1.60, don't know where I got €2.40 from !

What platform is the train to Fuengirola on Please?
Reply
There are only two platforms. The one nearest to you as you approach the station from the airport terminal is the one for Fuengirola. DON'T go through the underpass and up the steps at the other side 'cos that's the platform for Malaga Central. They are well signposted.

28 deg C this afternoon - fantastic !.
