Hey all,

My boyfriend and I are thinking of booking this hotel for our next holiday.
However, I want to be really convinced... We had a really bad experience in Mallorca during our holiday last year. We were given a room with cupboards that fell apart when you opened them, very petite - hardly any room to move around or to put your luggage, a balcony door that was stuck and couldn't be opened anymore, light switchers that didn't work, cockroaches in the bathroom... You should've seen the elevator! It was really nasty and old! It was terrible to say the least! We haven't slept one entire night during our whole stay because of drunk Germans that came "home" screaming and singing through the corridors awakening the whole hotel! Isolation was so bad, it was as if they were standing next to your bed screaming in your ear. During our last night, someone even broke in and stood in our room all of a sudden. Turned out there was a Bulgarian burglar gang in Mallorca that broke into empty hotel rooms (of people that were out partying for the night) and stole everything you owned. Lucky for us, we were there and could avoid anything being stolen. But it was pretty scary!!!!

So as you can imagine, we really want the best of the best for our next holiday! I've searched the internet for the best All Inclusive hotels in Rhodes and found Esperides Beach to be just that. Reviews in general are really really good. Still, can anyone please ensure me that this hotel is gonna be much better than the previous one we stayed in? Is there a lot of noise of party people at night? Is it quiet at night? Are the rooms (for 2 people) any good? Spacious or rather petite? Do we have to specifically ask for a seaside room? Or are the other rooms okay too? How do you enter your room, with a key or with a card? Are the safes any good? Any bugs or spiders in the bathrooms?

I really don't want to have anything to worry about during our next holiday...

Thanks!

Hi I have been to Esperides twice now and can say it is a really good hotel. it is a family hotel so if you are going peak season then there will be many children there therfore you dont get many drunks there might be the odd one or two that just depends on who is on holiday at the same time. The hotel rooms are not huge but they are adequate clean and well furnished bedding and towels changed daily you get into the room using a key card that also puts on your electricity ,I didnt use the safe but would imagine that these would be up to standard, we dont usually take many valuables but anything we left in the room was never touched. You do need to request a seaview room but if you are facing the main road as we have been on last two visits , you face a nice hill with Ithink its the esperos village hotel and the water park .its also interesting people watching from there and you are far enough back from the road. Food is perfectly fine you can always find something to eat Ihave been to better and worse all inclusives I would say this is a bit better than middle of the road, allinclusive drinks are good quality not watered down staff are very friendly and as added security there is a night porter who sits in reception and sees everyone who enters the hotel.
The location of the hotel is ideal, it is on the main bus route to rhodes town and in the opposite direction falaraki and lindos .there are a few bars and restaurants near by, but it is only a 20 min walk or 5 min bus to falaraki and about 20 min bus ride to rhodes town and taxis are also reasonable. you are also across the road from the water park. it is also right on the beach with boat trips from the jetty. Hope this helps Rhodes is a fantastic destination and the greek people make you very welcome

It would be just my boyfriend and I and we are planning to go in september. Would you recommend this hotel to couples? Children don't bother us that much. We just don't want to end up in a hotel full of drunks and loud party people anymore. We just wanna get a tan and take a good rest, go for a walk, enjoy the water and so on...
And is it true that there's a minimarket? Is it inside? What do they sell there?

Iwould recomend this hotel for couples its near enough to livelier places if you want to go but in a quieter setting for relaxing times September should be fine there will probably be more pre school children there then and as you say you dont mind kids I think they make a holiday its fun watching them enjoy themselves there is a supermarket on site and it is indoors at pool level they sell all your holiday essentials and ther are more shops just down the road towards Falaraki in the small shopping centre and one or two shops and alittle cafe/ takeaway almost directly opposite plus bus stops directly outside the hotel if you want to go into Rhodes town or Falaraki. You will love Rhodes and the Greek people. My favourite thing to do each time we go to Rhodes is to go for lunch at Seven Springs (Epta Piges) I just think the aura there is lovely laid back and peaceful the meals although basic are always tasty and if we have the kids(now young adults) with us we have to go through the tunnel and if we are lucky the other end is filled with water

Our holiday's been booked. The woman that helped us at the travel agency asked us if we had a hotel in mind and when we said "Esperides Beach", she said "Excellent choice!" When she opened the catalogue, she had a whole list of advantages written on the page where the Esperides Beach was mentionned. I suppose they recommend it to people who don't know which hotel to go to.
I'm glad we can look forward to something now. And I'm more specifically glad that I read the reviews before booking this time. 'Cause last year, we just picked a hotel from the catalogue and after we had booked I searched for reviews and found out that they were not that good! So even before we took off, we knew our holiday was not gonna be one without any problems!

So thank you! We will be in Rhodes from September the 14th till September the 21st.

Looking forward! :cheers

Hi Everyone, were new to the foreign holiday circuit and would love a bit of advice on the Esperides in Faliraki. Please could you suggest which size of room we should go for? we have a 13yr old and a 10yrs old plus my wife. So should we go for Twin or family room (both same prices) We've seen some fantastic reviews and just something else to ask should we go with the quote online or try a travel agent? oh were thinking of going in October has anyone been around this time? is it hot? is the service still as good? is the entertainment still in full flow at this time of year?

Thanks Derek

Hi Derek some one else might advise you re the family rooms as we have never stayed in them just used the twin and double rooms which are of a good standard the Esperides is a great hotel and is in a great position for exploring Rhodes, staff are friendly and helpful. As for going in October the weather is unpredictable we went in the October half term last year, first time going in October we have been to Rhodes once or twice a year since 1998 in May,June ,July August and September and always had fantastic weather but last year going in October was the first time we ever experienced rain in rhodes and boy did it rain at times although the sun did come out alittle most days also the water park closed down then due to the weather and most other places were closing down as nearing end of season had I not been a regular visitor to Rhodes this may have disappointed me so if you go in October dont let this put you off as Rhodes and the greek people are fantastic

Sorry Derek forgot to say about quotes on line check all the tour operators prices that go to esperides and online travel agents then ask the travel agents to give you a quote tell them the lowest quote you found online if they can beat it go with them if not go with the online price but just check it is a reputable secure site and that they have added everything in the initial price like taxes and insurance transfers ,meals if you require them and now some operators only allow 15kg luggage per person and charge you extra for the additional 5kgs,
hope this helps

As Aerdna said last October was "iffy" weatherwise.I was there at the time she mentioned for my first week and had the rain etc. but my second week was lovely. I have been going in October for the last 23 years and for the past approx.ten years have had fabulous weather.Climate change I guess. Don't go too late in October as everything is gearing down for the winter, when most places are closed. It's a wonderful island with lovely people and I'm sure you'll love it---- hope so anyway.
