Our villa was to be allocated on arrival which turned out to be a four bed villa with pool on Quinta do Lago, right on the golf course. More than enough room for the two of us. Have not been to this part of the Algarve before -very posh and manicured, villas costing umpteen million euros and shops and restaurants with price tags to match. Although a very beautiful area, and a great villa we felt we could have been in any upmarket resort the world over and not in Portugal. Eating out in the area seemed double the price of other areas in the Algarve - it made Vilamoura seem cheap
Did a few days out to the likes of Alte, Vila Real de Santo Antonio and Castro Marim and a bit of beaching near Lagos and Vale do Parra (where we usually stay). The rest of the time was spent taking advantage of the villa and the sunshine.
