Another stunning week in Turkey, after being pretty deflated hearing weather reports from my friends who were already there and reading the various weather forecasts I'd wondered if it was even worth going! It was sunny and warm here and torrential rain and storms there! Well I arrived at Dalaman airport at 3 in the morning, went to the loo and came out to find my suitcase was already out on the conveyor belt, result! I headed out to meet my driver and was pleasantly surprised at how warm it was for that time in the morning although it had clearly just stopped raining heavily. I was at the villa at 4.15 am.

I got up around 9 am and headed outside, it was scorching! This weather stayed constant for the whole week and the temperature was way above what all the forecasts had quoted.

I have another restaurant recommendation to follow the ones from my May review. The Butterfly in Hisaronu. We went there on the recommendation of my mate's cousin and were not disappointed. The food was stunning for all 6 of us, so much so that we ate there 3 nights running. If any of you want to know where it is it is directly above the Olive Tree on the main street in Hisaronu.

Another first experience for me was an earthquake!!! I was with my mate and her family in the Captains Restaurant in Ovacik when it happened. The owner there likes his practical jokes and I thought he was standing behind me shaking my chair until I looked in a mirror in front of me and saw the whole place was moving The Turkish lady who works there got rather panicky and started talking away in Turkish to us be we couldn't understand here. We later found out that the epicentre had been some 500km away.

Ah well, another Turkey trip over and back to rain and wind here. Going back in July though!
