They would not be in walking distance to the beach do in saying that the local buses L2+L3 both serve Arenal Golf down to the beach and marina and there are 2 hospitals there so you should pick up a taxi handy.Tivoli World is about a 15/20 minute walk away and the town Arroyo is another 5 minutes away with plenty of Bars etc.Parts of Arenal Golf are hilly there is a par 3 golf course accross the road as well as its own par 3/pitch +putt course.Plenty of pools onsite,hope this helps.

Stayed here in July this year. Not the greatest holiday we have had, but don't let that put you off, as that was more to do with illness than AG!

In addition to Neutrals comments, Arenal Golf is fairly close to the Pueblo, which is a lovely whitewashed village. Good restaurants. We hired a car while we were there, and found this to be the best way to get around. There isn't much around AG itself by way of bars/restaurants, and you will need to travel, although there is a good cafe at the Xanit Hospital that is within walking distance.

AG is built on a hill, so if you are walking around alot you will build up your calf muscles!!
