India has overturned a decision not to accept tourist visa applications by post following protests from tour operators and travellers.

Strangest thing. I was talking to a woman at work today who told me she's just got herself a multiple entry 5 year tourist visa....max 182 day stay.
She's English, of English origin with an English passport.
I told her that was impossible
Will seek her out tomorrow.

Yes well dont think she will have a 182 day visa with an English passport, since no such passport exists.
It is possible to get 5 year visas as I've spoken with some long stayers who got them, how they got them I don't know though

English-issued then, written in English, but called British to include the Scots.
Scottish, English, Northern Irish and Welsh.
Saying that a 5 year passport would be fantastic, if only .....
PS. My passport wasnt issued in England but the City of Glasgow.
