Hi guys. i have booked a short break in Barcelona over the new year period 29th dec 2007 - 4th jan 2008. my girlfriend and i are very excited about it but was wondering if anyone could shed some light on our trip as we are both Barcelona novices and would like info on nice places to eat and party etc over the new year??

we are staying in th NH Numancia Hotel therefore we are pretty central but have no clue about the nightlife, shops, resteraunts etc.

Any suggestions and advice welcomed.
