Macro, stock Efes (that's where the Turkish restaurants get their's from). So find a friend with a trade card and buy a case or 3. One word of warning, it doesn't taste as good without the Turkish sun.

Also for anyone in the north east/ yorks - Jacksons convenience stores also sell Efes :)

thanks to all.

We have a Jacksons nearby so I will give them a try.

I doubt if I can re-create the Turkish sun but I will try. :glynis

Jacksons stores operate in the north of England out of Hull
I only found out about them stocking Efes last Thursday and didn't want to braodcast the fact, in case there was an invasion to Yorkshire (we will fight them on the beaches!)
6 x 33cl bottles are £3.29, but if you buy 2 packs of 6, they only charge £6.00 for the 2!!!
The local, excellent Turkish restaurant charge £2.50 per bottle, which I thought was reasonable until I found Jacksons
Don't come and buy all their stocks, pretty please
Don't care for next 2 weeks as we will be in Kalkan
For some reason, it doesn't taste the same without the sun, I must agree (but it's still darn good)

Tried Jacksons in Barnsley but drew a blank.

My local kebab shop is run by an Indian family so no luck there.

I have emailed the U.K. importer for some help hope they come back with some good news.

41 days and counting :!:

For those of you living in London, Efes is available from the Turkish Food Centre (along with baklava, olives, Turkish cheese and all the other goodies you didn't think you could buy in this country!!). They have about 6 shops around London (Dalston, Leytonstone, Croydon plus some up in north London).

Keep trying - its not always in my local store near my place of work, but every 2 weeks or so, they bring out new deals with Efes on offer.
