Also, reccommendations for eating establishments in the Colon II area would be gratefully received.
Thanks all.

Hi there, just booked up to stay at the Colon II apartments with my boyfriend for 11 nights in July. Was very impressed with all the reviews I have read..don't think there has been one bad one yet and got a good price off Thomsons so thought why not! Only one bad thing however..Thomsons do not provide a transfer coach anymore for hotels in Tenerife it seems..I am just wondering if anyone knows how much/how far the airport is from these apartments? We are flying to Tenerife South airport. I'd be grateful for any responses, thanks! xxx
While you are waiting for specific replies re this accommodation, you may find some information in THIS TOPIC which relates to the airports and transfers.
There is also a Taxis topic at the top of the forums which may have some information.

There will be loads of taxis outside of the airport terminal, just join the que
you should pay no more than 20-22 euros to colon2 in a taxi from the airport, and it should take about 20 mins.
great choice of accommodation
Thanks that's great at least it won't cost too much :-) Just another question..i've read a few things about certain rooms not getting very much sun, would any of you who have previously stayed in the Colon II apartments say it's worth ringing up and asking for a sunny room? Thanks! xxx
I haven't stayed there, but you could, e-mail and ask, you've nothing to lose
well i'm hoping to go back here for two weeks at the end of sept, tried booking a one bedroom but thompsons site isn't having it, all there giving me is a two bedroom, going 2x adults 1 child one infant, thompsons want nearly £2,000, so by booking just the room with thompsons, then flights elsewhere i can get there for just under £1,350, unless it would be cheaper to go striaght through to the colon and book the room direct with them. any advice guys/gals would be great.
I was there a few weeks ago. It has 1 thing missing from it to make it one of the best apartments which is .... Air Conditioning!!! We had a room which was facing the front so it was too hot to shut the window but the noisey revellars kept waking us up.
anyone got a valid email address for the colon 2 please, the ones posted on here are invalid and keep returning
I will be going to the Colon II next month. I thought we would be stopping in one of the apartments but it turns out that we are in one of the Studios. Does anybody know what it would cost to upgrade to a 1 or even 2 bedroom apartment. I've tried emailing the hotel but me emails have been returned saying the mailbox is full.
Many thanks
Muso
