We are travelling to Hurghada next week (going to Makadi Bay) and have to pay for entry visa. I know that when we travelled to Sharm there were people selling visas at the airport for far more than the required price and infact we dd not buy any visa as we were only there for 1 week and not travelling out of the area.
I understand that as we are going to Hurghada we have to have a tourist visa and would like to know what the current rate for a visa is as I do not want to pay over the odds to anyone (including the tour company!)
I think it i around the £15-18 mark.
I don't know what you mean Nette!
But I didn't put a link down
Hurghada October 2007 was £10 in english money. Hope this helps
We paid £10 December too, in fact never asked just handed a tenner over and got the visa stamped into passport. A tip too that when you get off the bus and enter the terminal building turn immediately left and you can use ANY of the little desks to get your visa you don't have to join the big Q for your own tour op, we went to the desk for Med Holidays I think bypassing all the other q's and as there was nobody at that Q so got straight thru.......
do i need a visa? am going to stay in sharmel (reef oasis blue bay spa)
theres four of us going two kids and two adults so how much will it cost?
any help will be welcome thanks guys!
It's 15 US dollars or 10 pounds sterling whatever you happen to have on you. That's per person including kids.
You only need it if you are going outside of Sinai, ie on trips.
If you are just going to stay in Sharm you can get a stamp put on that says 'Sinai only' and you don't have to pay.
HTH, Doe
If you look at some of the stickies at the top of index page you will see one for Visas Sharm area that will give you a wealth of information
If you still have children on your passport then it is one charge per passport.
