Can anyone tell me about the lakes in the mountains.
I have been told about them many times but never been.
We are going to Calahonda in June and would love to take our grand children their to swim have a picnik and if possible fish or hire a boat or canoe.
There are many lakes/resevoirs in the area.You will pass over a few coming in to land at Malaga.
The nearest to you would be, I think in the area of Benhavis and Istan.
There are more further afield, Guadalhorce and Loja to name two.

Try going to Vinuela. It's absolutely beautiful there and no motorised boats are allowed on it. There are plenty of picnic spots and I believe they have BBQ's as well.
