Hi
I looked at Jetairways and they charge from over £200 to fly to Delhi from Goa. I was then thinking of taking a tour to the Taj Mahal. What is the typical price for flying to Delhi to Goa? Are there cheaper flights? Who should we go with -
we will arrive in Goa on Monday from UK for only one week - are there many trips to Taj Mahal.
Is it better to stay 1 day or 2 days - one night in Delhi, one night in Agra for the Taj Mahal? Any good hotels?
Is it better to go with our British tour operator or with a local tour company.
Any suggestions of good ones.
BTW, I'm going with my mum who is approaching pensionable age - should I mention this to tour company, especially since my experience is that people of South Asia and Asia continent in general are very respectful of older people - probably more so than we are in the UK!

to be honest, with only one week, you really shouldn't look at the Delhi trip. I do a lot on my holidays and even I wouldn't look at that
Why not keep that for another time? You can actually fly into Delhi from the UK quite cheaply if you keep checking prices and a tour is very cheap. We will def return there and do another trip when we have a spare week( at the right time of year)
Have a look at my trip report here and see if that persuades you that another holiday in India is needed

Yes, you are probably right about my over ambitious travel itinery. I just must see the TM and so would my mum, and when we looked at Delhi prices, hotels and then flying to Goa, it worked out more expensive.
But I will heed your wise words and be realistic when I arrive.
