Hi, What are the best markets to visit, near Candolim?
My kids would like some replica footy shirts amongst other things.
Also do the markets have street food stalls, selling local dishes? As i know there are some great shacks and restaurants but would like to try street cooked food as you see on the telly.... if it exists.

Hi there - you could try Ingos Saturday night market, it's a great atmosphere and has food stalls and music. Also Anjuna market on a Wednesday during the day is excellent for lots of bargains. Just say a firm no to anyone attempting to 'clean your ears'!
You can also get everything you mentioned in Calangute. It can be manic but there are some nice shops and street vendors selling food.
If you want footy shirts the best place in Calangute is next to the old petrol station. Its right on the corner , theres shirts hanging up all around the outside of the shop. Can't remember his name, nice man and sells good shirts. Bought lots over the years and all have been excellent quality.
