we have been to the rihanna a couple of times and whilst there are some children there arent that many but iguess it depends on what time of year u go, we went in march and jan and there were few kids but in september there were more but again not that many and we hardly saw them round our pool
there are 3 pools but if u steer away from the pool where the animation team are it stays fairly quiet, 2 are heated and one isnt , its a fairly small complex with approx 400 beds split between the resort and the inn, basically the rooms for the resort bit are bigger other than that u eat, drink the same and use the same pools etc

It was the Rhianna that we were at in July, and there were loads of kids. A third pool opened on the second week, think it may have been closed for refurb, dont know. THis pool then filled up with kids too. Dont get me wrong, I love kids, but dont look for a kids orientated hotel now ours are older.
The saving grace for us here was the food - we loved the outdoor dining every night, so much so that we didnt dine anywhere else which we had planned to do!

how weird cos we have been there in jan, march and september and hardly seen any kids.. must just be the time of year perhaps as we have never been in july
i belive the sunset pool was closed for refurbishment but is reopened now with a couple of chutes but even then it wasnt very busy as its not heated
like u i dont like lots of kids around (despite having my own) and thats why we go there as we hardly see any
maybe someone else will have another suggestion

elle,
Try the Dawar el Omda. Nice and quiet as well as being close to Downtown area. Have a look here http://www.elgouna.com/Hotels.aspx?SubSectionID=67

THis is one of the contenders Willie... the Dawar ticks all the boxes, location, Zeytona beach etc, but the Steigenberger is coming up at only £25 more than this hotel, and my daughter really fancies that! The thing is though you would need to reply on transport to get back and forward to downtown and to the Zeytona beach from there. Hoping to come to an amicable decision this weekend!!
Ok, Steigenberger has won! Got too good a deal here, just hoping we wont be disappointed... it is a bit further away from town, but transport good so hopefully that wont be a problem. Cant wait!
