Palm Grove Cottages in Benaulim is Lovely.
do not goto the la ben in colva. booked for 2 nights last week, but only stayed for 1!! worst room i have ever stopped in
I saw a few pople on bar stools and was looking forward to a good old natter. they were the most miserable people I have seen-- now I know why!!! They must have been staying there.
did you manage to eat there at all?
pedro, if thats a reply to me, then no i didnt eat there!!! we went to a little resturant near the boomerang beach bar. great steaks
hi guys thanks for your replies will give la ben a wide berth then! anyone give any more info on palm cottages benaulim they sound interesting many thanks
Where is that place that serves good steaks. Can you remember the name. I remember seeing the boomerang bar but gave it a wide berth. Would like to have something different one evening.
Any other suggestions around Colva. Was very disappointed to hear on a few other sites recently and by different people that martin's Corner has gone right down the pan.
We will be in Colva on Sunday. Cheers
Good win against Wednesday but our win last night was pure magic!!
hi andy,
I stayed at a place called Amigo's Plaza in Colva for a few nights a couple of years ago. It was clean, close to beach/bars/rests.
Can't remember how much??
GFF
thanks for that website arltogoa they really do look good and clean i will email them for availability and prices also thanks to goldenflipflop for amigos info i will try the web to see if i can get anymore info
I looked at a few hotels and quest houses while I was in Colva last week for next year in case we can't get into the Oceanique. The Amigo Plaza was fine rooms from 800 to 1200rps for a suite think you should be able to negotiate as Dec and Jan is the busy period . We also looked at the Lucky Star's room very basic but again clean another good quest house was the white sand quest house its just passed the amigo down a road on the same side there is a sign pointing to the clinton guest house but the white sand is before this again very clean but basic. these where about 400 - 600 rps per night
hi jo thanks for your info can you tell me a little bit more about the oceanique, you obviously like it to consider going back again.where abouts is it situated and what are the prices like any more info would be welcome cheers andy
There is quite a lengthy discussion thread aimed at the Oceanique. I will be there on Sunday. Have a look at this.
as pete said look up oceanique in the discussion forum it may help we stayed 1st choice on a package deal and while we were there the hotel was full people we met on the beach had visited the Oceanique to enquire about rooms they said "3500rps per night" can't confirm this as didn't ask at hotel.
if you go out of the boomerang by the back way, get to the road, and the little bar/resturant is in your left.
I booked myself for 3 nights in Le Ben, and now just came across your posting, how bad was the room?
What was wrong with it?
Was it at least secure?
I was looking more for a hostel type place then a hotel simply because I'm young and want to meet a younger type of crowd, as I'll be travelling alone, is Le Ben OK for that? I booked a private room
It looked OK from the few pics I saw on various Hostel websites, is there much to do in the area, I saw some disco's marked on a wonderful map
