Hi

About £3-£5 sterling (30-50 Egyptian) remember to haggle and agree the price first.

Thanks very much for you reply!! It's for my parents, they don't have transfers from the airport, and don't want to get ripped off! :tup

We are going to the Reef Oasis Beach Resort in a couple of weeks time. How much should we expect to pay from the airport?

Hi lozzao7 I would e-mail hsb and ask them to arrange transfer give them flight num, sometimes taxis at airport when they know you have no transfer will not haggle with you and by the time you have seen them all your to tired to start again. we only done this once and never again

Yes hilton sharks bay will send a driver for you if you email them. think it was about £15 . Unfortunately our flight was 5 hours delayed so it was midnight and the airport was fairly quiet when we got to sharm and no sign of our driver . The first cabby wanted £40 that late at night but we eventually paid £20 which we were happy with for the 5 of us . dont let them touch your cases before you have agreed the price. you shouldnt have to pay more than £5 but when your tired after a long flight and just want to get to the hotel you cant always be bothered with the hassle

Dears..
I`m a sharmer & I do know one friend of mine who uses a very nice touristic cars (micro-buses 16 seats & enough space for the luggage) for his transfers from & to the airport & some other transfers the driver waits you front of the arrival hall with a sign of your name- believe me with the luggages that makes it much easier - they do the transfer from/to the airport to from any area in sharm ( naama, hadaba, nabq, sharks bay ..etc ..For 95 l.e. about 9.5 sterlings & to be paid cash do the driver during the transfer .I use them myself & at least that will save your mind out of negotiating prices :rage with the taxi drivers at the airport,I can`t stand that . :gluck

Hi, I would definitly email the hotel direct as they will send a posh limosine to pick you up which will be much cheaper than the battered taxi's at the airport. We went to Sharm last year and the taxi at the airport cost us £20 pounds and it was unsafe with no seat belts it stunk of petrol and was quite scary. On returning home we organised the hotel to transfer us and we went back in a Mercedes for £7.00. As we had never been before we did'nt know better but you live and learn, all the hotels in Sharm will organise transfers for you if you contact them.

hi.all......does any one know of the taxi fares from sharm el sheik airport to ...sunrise island garden hotel shark bay.............

Well John , the real price should be about £5 . that is what we paid on the way back from hilton sharks bay when the hotel got us the taxi ;) . when we arrived at sharm though it was after midnight and there wernt many taxis around . first quoted £40 , then £30 then the next said he'd do it for £20 which we took . We were too tired to argue so I think it depends on the time you arrive and how up for a haggle you are aftrer a long journey .

If we knew when you plan to go, Pepe, maybe we could help regarding evening temperatures?

In my opinion it is wise to take something to cover up with in the evenings at that time of year, Pepe.
