Thomsons website has photos,there are 2 Don Tonis,hotel which is high rise and club which is practically the same as Bahamas,I would be quite happy to change to this hotel but our friends prefer the peace and quiet of Bahamas,as we really enjoy their company we will go wherever they are,if the company is good it doesn't really matter where you are ,does it?

yes I have seen the pics off the Thomson site.
Theresamc has also sent me some as she goes there every year.

Yes we liked the Bahamas too but decided on the Don Toni as it's closer to the town for us.
It's ok for us we have teenagers so we like to go into town after the bar in the hotel closes some nights.

Palm Beach is just too far awayfor us.

Have you asked Thomson yet about the price for Palm Beach at the time you booked? Plus your free child?

We are going 23rd May,we're paying 1318 for 2adults ,+14yr old,our friends are paying less than 1800 for 2adults +14+11,cheapest price,23 may last year was 1700 for us but as they have no 4 bed rooms our friends would have to book 2 doubles and pay 2600,as they said ,no way will they spend 900 extra even if there is no drinks option,

The kids love Bahamas,and we enjoy the walk into town so will probably just take a chance and see what happens.

Which hotel are you meaning when you say there are no 4 bed rooms?

I didn't want to risk staying at the Bahamas as the Fiesta team made the holiday with their entertainment.
Don't want to rely on Thomson entertainers, they are nowhere near as good.

Also didn't want tojust be half board and pay for all drinks separate, it makes it too expensive for us.

Our friends (2 families) are booked into Club Don Toni (low rise) and we have 2 rooms at the Hotel (high rise but quieter)
The time you're going isn't a really busy time anyway so wherever you stay should be quietish.

Anyway I'm just pleased to be sorted out now. Was worrying for about 2 months over it.
One of the couples we are meeting were actually booked through Portland so had to cancel and re book as Portland don't do any other hotels in PDB.

If you're staying at Bahamas and normally upgrade to AI then don't forget to budget for drinks this time etc.

We go on June 18th for 2 weeks and can't wait!

We really love going to Murphy's after the bar closes too , often stay there till around 3 am.

Just got an e-mail from our friends,Bahamas got back to them,the new owner is refurbishing,and drinks option will be available,it also seems that most of the staff will still be there too! Doris was at Palladium last year but said that she would like to go back to Bahamas this year ,hopefully we'll see her too!!!Don't know how the entertainment will be.

It was Palm Beach that had no 4 bedded rooms left,we didn't try Don Toni as Daz suffers from heights so will only go 3 floors up at the most,any more and he can't use the bacony.They book 6009 every year by sending an e-mail directly to the hotel.

Hi, well it doesn't sound so bad then if they are refurbishing too.

Hope you get some decent entertainment. If not you can always go next door and watch theirs lol.
It's good if they do the drinks option but I like all inclusive so we can have lunch too.

I don't know a Doris from the Bahamas, Gloria is my favourite staff member and Celia and Kris were our favourite Fiesta reps, she is at Don Toni now I think and kris is at the Palladium.

Regarding the reviews has the hotel name or rating changed if it has can you also put that in any reviews that you do this would save any confusion especially if the name has changed. The new operators of the hotel and any telephone number changes would also be helpful to report.

Hi Allmen, as far as I'm aware it has changed to Hotel Bahamas.

Rating is same on Thomson site.

We will have to wait until some people return this summer I suppose.
All I know about the new owners is that they also own a luxury hotel in San Miguel..........

I take it that the Fiesta Club Bahamas Beach Hotel is a different hotel from the renamed Don Toni and still is part of the Fiesta group?

This thread was mine asking about Don Toni.......nothing to do with being renamed

The Fiesta Club Bahamas Hotel in Playa Den Bossa has been sold and renamed Hotel Bahamas or Bahamas Hotel.It is no longer a Fiesta Group Hotel.

We, as a family, have rebooked from said hotel to Fiesta Don Toni Hotel.

The thread was sort of hijacked by someone else going to Bahamas.

Right so it is the hotel Fiesta Hotel Bahamas that was taken over by http://www.caspla-ibiza.com and then renamed Hotel Bahamas or Bahamas Hotel. If this is the case I shall lock this topic and wait for someone to post a review about the Hotel Bahamas or Bahamas Hotel.

Thanks for clearing up which hotel had been taken out of the Fiesta group and we shall amend the hotel reviews accordingly once the name change has been verified.
