Hi, can anyone tell me if there is anywhere safe to park a hire car at the Hotel Moreyo, Cala Bona. I will be there in 10 days.
Thanks

There is no car park, but you can park in the side street next to the Moreyo. If you can't get there, beside the bus stop is a piece of spare land everyone used to park cars. Enjoy CBGx

Just got back last Thurs :cry , had a great time apart from car broke down and the most arrogant bar man in the Moreyo, the hotel was ok, but extremely basic and very dark (but what can you expect for the price you pay), We went b&b so had a room with double bed, two (stained) chairs a small table and bathroom (which was the most modern feature), room was cleaned every morning with clean towels when needed. First day we decided to pay the extra €7 for dinner, but never again, food was terrible. Breakfasts were fine apart from the waiter was hovering like a vulture. To be honest if you go b&b at the moreyo, have dinner at places like the London Inn around the corner excellent food and great hosts and always made to feel welcome. Oh and parking was fine just parked behind the London Inn and walked between shops.

The Moreyo is a lovely family run small hotel. Dinners are hit n miss so B&B OK. No lift, so you would have to carry cases, you can email them (as we did) to ask for a low floor, and a pool view otherwise its a street view, by October it would be quiet anyway. Sound like a bargain! CBG

Website http://www.hotelmoreyo.com/ is down at the moment but there's a contact bit on there....worked for us....we got 1st floor rooms overlooking pool. It was great as I could just chuck towels down from balcony onto sunbeds and save myself a walk downstairs :rofl
We were B&B too - plenty to choose from. Rooms are basic but very clean and staff were wonderful. :cheers

I've read really good reviews for this hotel and it's very reasonably priced on some of the websites :tup

We won't go back again as I have said elsewhere, the sisters who own / run the hotel are very nice and very helpful, unfortunately I did not like the waiter who was like a vulture hovering over every table every breakfast, and the barman is the most horrible and arrogant man alive, food was good and tasty, breakfast was the usual with bacon, eggs etc and hot-dog sausage instead of normal sausage, cereals and toast.
The room I had was very basic with very dated furniture, the chairs where stained and not nice to sit on.
But for a five day break including flights you have got yourself a great bargain.

We considered going back last year but after a very bad call with someone on the reception decided never again. We will visit Cala Bona again in June.

For £188 pp I might go for it bearing in mind I am going away for a fortnight in June to Menorca, so itf its not up to scratch then at least I would have enjoyed the June one

Honestly, I'm as fussy as they come and can honestly say the only gripe I had was the lack of sunbeds around the pool (but I believe that's been addressed since).

The room furniture is dated and we did joke it was stuck in a 1970's timewarp but you couldn't fault it on cleanliness and the all staff were pleasant and helpful during our stay...for what we paid (£454 B&B for 2 weeks for a family of 5) we had a great holiday and my kids still ask when they can go back (we've never found it that cheap since is the reason). Didn't have any problems with our Waiter in dining room...he mainly stayed behind the heated food servers but was at our table within seconds when one of the kids spilt juice over the tablecloth...nothing was every too much trouble.

We've always said that a hotel room/apartment is a base for you to put your head down on a night and as long as it's clean it doesn't matter how dated the decor is, travelling with kids I would be a nervous wreck if we were somewhere posh anyways so the Moreyo is perfect in that sense....if people want 4 or 5 star luxury then they go to the Levante or Gran Sol and pay well for doing so.

Honest opinion is that you will be very pleasantly surprised by your stay if you decide to go! And of course Cala Bona is great too! :cheers
