Thanks
Candy64 have you thought about Pretty Petals they are quiet decent in price the rooms are very nice.
I have an email for a lady who has rooms for 1000 rps per night its in candolim near the lemontree or she has some apartments in alor grande the old don fransisco
I would definetly recommend Manida Seaside apartments, they are on the main Beach Road Candolim opposite Infernos, the best accomodation I have had in Goa, all rooms have air con and are kept spotlessly clean, Manuel and Ida are delightful hosts and cant do enough for you, Ideal location two minute stroll to the beach, 1200rps a night (about £16 per night per room). rooms cleaned every day, linen and towels changed every other day..
Email: manidaseaside@hotmail.com
Manuel & Ida Fernandes are the owners.. tel no 0832 2489705(not sure about code for Goa)
Regards Steve

Re the Manida apartments, can you tell us whether the rooms have private or shared bathrooms plse
We have stayed at a place called Gods Gift in the lanes beghind Cafe Coffee Day for the last 2 seasons for 5 weeks each time. It is right next door to the majors house and is really quiet away from the main road. They have 2 rooms for letting both are spacious and each has with TV, attached bathroom and fridge and new sheets and towels every 2/3 days. Run by Johnny and Maria who will be very hospitable and it will cost less than 1000 per night. We stayed 5 weeks each time and negotiated a good rate but even if you only stay 1 or 2 weeks I am certain you pay much less than 1000 a night.
They also have an apartment and a house with its own courtyard as well but have no idea what they let those for.
I can pm you the contact details if you would like and if you do get in touch with them tell them Sian and Doug suggested them and you will receive an even warmer welcome.
It is about 5 minutes walk to beach road.
Let me know if want the details
Cheers
