Ganesh's shack again for me this year. Good company, not too many sellars and always a warm welcome from Ganesh, Isshi and Baboo.
Bono's
Stringfello's
Sam's Paradise..candolim..
Dreamer its on the border of Candolim Calangute
calamari for me!
Sam's paradise, Candolim but not quite the same without one of the lads Jimmy who is now working at the Sonesta Inns during the day
Does anyone have any feelings on the prices being charged by some of the shacks this year? We went to one which was charging 150 rupees for a Butter Chicken, as this is only 110 rupees in both Inferno and Fishermans Cove, as far as I remember, we felt that 150 was for too much. Any comments?
Have to agree Stringfello's was good and reasonable.....Tidal Wave next door was good but not cheap
Just got back yesterday, spent all lunchtimes in Bobby's shack (Candolim) couldn't fault it at all.... Great!
I was amazed at the prices being charged at the Shacks on Cavelossim beach this season, it was my first visit there . I found the Restaurant's better value, especially the Riverview . On returning to my usual haunts in Benaulim and Colva , the prices were around 25% less and better quality . So I tend to think that the more foreign tourists a place gets , the higher the prices go.

i did to, spent 7 out of the 14 days at bobbys shack to. having a ball with sanjay and the lads. And i had my blue wrist band on every afternoon. I had the st helens beach towel.
was you the lad with the blonde hair, who was with a couple of girls and they had there nails done the day before they came home and you was wearing liverpool shorts.
Bonos shack is good for the loos, but that is about all, the food was awful
Calamari shack is nice,

Apert from the toilet which is minging.
Sam's Paradise Candolim - been going there for years. Also go into Big Blue occasionally as my friends use that one.
Hi Wickedchris, no that was not me, i had my lad with me who is 13 but no girls with us! we tended to sit on the left hand side as you faced the sea, by the swinging chair.
We have been using Sam's Paradise for the last 7 years, however last year we thought it wasn't as good, we thought we would give Baywatch a go when we go in March but will still call in to see the lads, sorry to hear Jimmy is no longer there, hope Appa is still there.
Appa is still there, Jimmy comes around 5 ish when he finishes his job at Sonesta. We didn't think the food was as good in December, maybe they've got someone different cooking but it's always nice to see the same friendly faces using the shack!
This year tried a few different shacks in Candolim, mainly Bonos, Bobbys and the Boat Shack, the plus side no beach sellers which made a huge difference not being mithered every two minutes, but on the down side prices have gone up in most of the shacks, very dissapointed in the food at Bobbys Shack but make your own mind up if that is the usual shack you go to, most of the shacks are charging 50 rupees per sunbed as well.
Tried Bono's for the first time - loved their Sangria (not at all like traditional Spanish Sangria)
Also noticed Wagamama have bowls of water under the sunbeds (for washing sand off feet) thought that was a good USP!
