I agree that Casa Blanca is great for a grill meal and Vesubio fab for pizza......I like that they have the outdoor patio heaters so is fine to eat outside even in February. Remember sitting there with my Mum on my birthday watching the crusie liners leaving Arrecife at night.....For traditional spanish fare there is a little place on the road to Arrecife....full of the locals....don't know it's name but meant to go there.
I have to admit that I have never found Costa Teguise like Blackpool. I have, however found it a place that I can happily wander about on my own day or night and sunbathe on the beach without hassle. I think it is great when you find a resort where you can spend time doing your own thing safely......I like to chill whereas my Mum likes to sight see.
Off to Turkey this year though but intend to take my boyfriend to Lanzarote another time. Timanfaye a must trip I think....can imagine life on another planet!
Teguise market on a Sunday is great too but I must restrain my buying of jewellery...got some amazing silver pieces...unlike anything I have found in UK, totally original.
Re. the restaurant filles with locals on the way to Arrecife. I think you might mean Casa Luis - next to Netto almost opposite the Coronas Playa Hotel. If so it come with a high recommendation from us. Spanish food - a great Meal of the day for 7.5 Euro - and very friendly. The only problem is that it can be difficult to get a table and it closes at 4.00 p.m. so you have to 'do lunch'.
