We went to the Carob Tree Valley Villas in Elounda last Summer. Wonderful! Beautiful views, great villas (although the 2 bedroom villas are quite small), great private pools. Beautiful town, loads to do. Highly recommend, we are going back there this year!

Thats good to hear, have you posted any reviews anywhere?

Is it far to walk to the town? We have booked a three bed which looks great on the website. How close to each other are all the villas and can you use the hotel which I think is close (Blue Bay or something) to eat etc?

I think we were virtually the first people there last Summer and were treated like royalty! The villas are quite close to each other but still private enough, especially the 3 bed villas which are situated at the top and the middle of the development. You do need a car to get around, the town isn't far but definitely a drive. The villas are set back from the road up a windy road but the views are wonderful. The town itself has many bars and restaurants which are mostly brilliant. We have 2 small kids and the restaurant owners are all very welcoming. We did not use the Blue Bay Hotel as it is quite a distance from the villas, but you really don't need to as the town is a lovely place to spend the evenings, alternatively, we BBQ'd a couple of nights last time. I'm sure you will not be disappointed! We are going for the half term week, end of May.

Thank you Jo you have put my mind at rest!

We are going early July and taking a 13 and 15 year old girls with us! stroppy teenagers needing their sleep and all that! Whereas i like to get up early and enjoy the sunshine! So the deal is we will do some days at the beach where they have to get up early and come with us, the rest of the time we will stay at the villa pool and chill, they can get up when they want!

My other hakf is quite keen on the BBQ idea with greek salads!
