I always have to buy new swimming cossies every holiday...why I dont know...and lots of flipflops..
Turkishdelight , i am just the same, just bought 2 new bikinis, one expensive one from Debenhams £60 , then a cheapie from marks £14, I have a great big box full off flip flops in the spare room, I buy them all the time , then when I go away I spend ages deciding which ones to take, I especially like Havaiinas and any cheapy ones with glitter on
Next is brilliant for kids stuff and not dear at all. Am so looking forward to doing our holiday shop (nearer the time!)
Hya Sue. Like you, I always have to have new kini's, and flip flops. Today, I have just bought a gorgeous black bikini, and some gorgeous silver leather flip flops. Although my case is overflowing already, I coudn't resist.
oooooo silver flip flops sound fab where did you buy them
We have warned her that there is a weight limit on luggage but she's so dainty not like me she can take 3 times more than I can (it also costs her a lot less 'cos Primark don't cater for BBW's ).
I'm lucky this holiday got an extra 3kg extra luggage allowance, so will just have to fill it!! cant stand waste!
On another point, hubby needs some long trousers for the restaurants in the evenings, been looking for some long linen trousers for him, anyone seen them in the shops on their travels?
29 days till we go to the DR! YAAAAYYYYYY
Is it bigger than the Manchester one? I was in the Manchester Primark today and it was really quiet, no queues, even towards lunchtime. I bet everyone's gone to Liverpool for a nosey - Manchester's Primark always seemed to have a lot of Liverpudlian shoppers anyway, so no wonder it's quiet if there's a big one over there now I may have to hop on the train next time I get a day off - is the new Primark anywhere near Lime Street station?Watford Travellers wrote:You'll love Primark in Liverpool.. Its about 5 floors!!! I was in heaven when I last went there.
Can't say I thought much of the holiday clothes they have in at the moment, but it's still very early season - if I remember from last year, they got loads more stuff later in the Spring and a better choice.
I'm not altogether sure if this is the safest way (that main road is horrendous!) but come out of the station onto Lime St. turn left away from St. Georges Hall and The Empire theatre, somewhere along there you should be able to cross the road. Lewis's store is on the corner of the main road and Ranelagh St (you know, the one with THE statue!) walk down Ranelagh St (Lewis's should be on your left and a McDonalds on your right carry on down past an exit for Central Station. The road on your right is Bold St (there's some good designer shops up there) turn your back on Bold st. and cross the road, you're now in Church St, Primark is about 100 - 150 yards down on your left (M&S is opposite).
I'm not very good at directions as you can gather but that's about it.
Happy shopping!
Bought 5 tops in Primark a fortnight ago for the total sum of £21. Can't fault it. Also buy loads of t shirtd for hubby there at about £3 each. He's a very "slobby" person - generally gets fat on his clothes etc so it's pointless paying for top makes for him. I usually get some good quality short sleeve shirts for him from BHS.
called into "new look" today got some fab summer stock in
When our local Primark opened there wasn`t much in it so have always given it a miss - can`t wait for them to get some more stuff in. Hope I can get some nice things for me.
Come out of Lime Street Station, turn left, cross the road opposite St Johns Precinct-------You'll see Weatherspoons on the left as you cross, Go straight ahead, down the steps [by the big George shop], Keep going straight ahead, past Tesco metro, as you get to the bottom, turn right and Primark in the left!!
About a 5min walk!
Kids flip flops in Tesco 25p, just got 3 pairs. They seem to have small sizes right upto 5/6
Thanks for the Primark directions! I don't suppose they'll have any different stuff to the Manchester one, but it's nice just to have a day out somewhere different sometimes.
I keep seeing things to buy for our holiday but I need to sort out what I need to buy first. I always put a date in the diary to have a day of holiday shopping. This years is on the last weekend in April.
Accessorise have got some lovely beach dresses in, they are £25 , also today in M&S they have reduced quite a few of the bikinis , I got one today fro £10 down from £30 !
I'm the same!! And I keep the clothes fresh in my wardrobe until the holiday so they aren't 'ruined' before we go! Got a gorgeous beach dress in Next last week that is waiting patiently to be worn!
i`m not away til August and i`ve bought 3 bikinis already this year, just to get me in the holiday mood.
