Nope..............got an email from Ole Ole as I'm staying at the Jable this year and he advised via PM that they were coming !

I then checked the 18-30 site and sure enough there it is......don't think you mentioned the actual apartments that will be used

I can't seriously seeing that crowd getting enough out of PDC to be honest. Even Ayia Napa can't get the booking from them they used to and a lot of their fav haunts in Napa have now stopped doing 18-30 and gone back to family hotels/apartments.

Who knows............I can't see any of them going when I go every year in April which is much too early for them...I hope

That's what I'm hoping too mate, I'm planning to go mid Sept, so fingers crossed it'll be ok.
As I said on Lanaza Island, that's what I really love about PDc, plenty of stuff at night if you want but it's not in your face..Just hope the 18-30's don't come and ruin it

I'm sure the 18-30 crowd will soon get fed up of PDC - it's hardly the party capital of the Canaries. Lovely place for young couples though. I think the 18-30s will still choose Magaluf, Ibiza and PDLA.

From what I remember of PDC it seemed more of a family and couples resort. I think there could be serious bordem issues for groups of clubbers.

Iv booked for the 14th august at the jable so looks like ill be having sleepless nights!! Anyone got any info on the place as its going to be our first time in lanzarote. how far the waterpark any other places to go?? im going with girlfriend 33,27 both of us like a good beach a good bar but hate clubbin!!!

No doubt others will give you info in the meantime but I'm staying at the Jable in just over a weeks time, never stayed there before as I always stay in La Penita but it was full ! They do recommended though as basic but clean and in a good location just at the back of Centro Atlantico (bar/club central) but far enough away not to be disturbed by noise. It also means the beacj is just across the road once you get down the road from the Jable to the front of PDC.

Please no! There are already too many places where the British embarass us! I know each to there own, but NO!

I can't see there being enough clubs etc for them.................hopefully.

I feel differently about this to most of you posters. I have been to PDC in the past a number of times and feel it is perfect for 18-30 holidays, I am actually surprised they haven't tried here before now.
I do admit I am past 18-30 holidays now, but always felt there was a good bar scene, especially around the centro. Also there is Linekers and generally a real British feel to the place.
I hope 18-30 dont damage PDC, but do feel people should lay off a touch as there is already an element of this currently there, and has been for years.

and it should bring in much needed money to the island.

I don't want to sound ignorant, I know England is a richer country. Countries always need more money, Lanzarote is no different, but are things THAT bad that they need the 18-30 crowd?
You just have to look at the resources, time and money spent by the ambulance services, your local A&E and the police on a Friday or Saturday night here in England in the towns and cities. Surely the island would end up with needing more services?
I know it sounds like I am generalising about the 18-30 thing, most of the people just get v drunk and make a lot of noise, but aren't trouble-makers. Unfortunatley, there will be that trouble-causing element amongst some them though.

Not only that, I find them embarrassing.

Iv been watching the costa del sol police on sky and the people that get so sooo wasted its bad and 99% are british youth. Ill try it out in the jable any hassle or too much noise off the young ones and ill have to have a little talk to them

I've been reading up on some of the really negative stuff some people have been saying about club 18-30 coming to PDC...i'm actually going to be one of the 18-30 reps for them in PDC, and its not all that bad! everyones on holiday for the same reason, to have a good time! theres still rules like with any other company with regards to the hotels, if they start running riots and there are complaints, it wont just be brushed on the carpet, words will be had; we always urge guests to be considerate of other guests, and many hotels have their own rules about what time they're not allowed on their balconies or to play loud music untill etc

Also, just to let you know, Lomo Blanco is no longer one of our properties as there will be too many families in there! weve taken on another hotel which is Guacimeta.....Worry not.....it's not as bad as you think!!
