Glad to know there are some companies who can handle large bookings etc efficiently.
We had a problem last time we were in Hurghada with one of the mytravel companies. We had upgraded our flights at Manchester airport on the outward leg (only £25 pp for the front cabin with extra wide seats, leg room etc). At the welcome meeting we were given the opportunity to do this for the return leg at the same price, which we did. No receipt was given so I checked with rep couple of days before return everything ok and advised it was. At check in we were given standard seats as they had no record of our request. Eventually, after intervention by Egyptian reps we were given the seats as a 'goodwill gesture' (despite the fact they had been preordered and paid for!). I intended to write to mytravel to complain but left it too late. To this day I kick myself that I didn't - not so much for compensation as we did get what we paid for in the end but to ensure that steps were taken to make sure it didn't happen again.
