I've been going to the Ronil once or twice a year for the last 15 years, off again on Saturday 8th so really excited.
Their e-mail address has changed many times over the years, their new address is:
ronil_goa@sify.com
they are pretty bad at replying but get there in the end, I normally keep sending the message daily until they get back to me!!

I'm a traditionalist and like the origianl Portuguese rooms in blocks A - F although the best of these are B - D & F pool facing. E & F non pool facing are very noisey as they are at the front, lots of road noise. Personally I go for non-pool facing as they don't get the sun they are cooler, ground floor also cooler, how much time do you spend in the room anyway. They do improvements every year to these rooms during monsoon, I've been told by the rooms manager that this year these old rooms have new floor tiles and a mini bar (may be just a fridge but that suits me).
I was given a room last year for one night in one of the new blocks as my A/C had packed up. very nice, much much bigger, safe boxes in rooms, etc. Still like my old room though, feels like home!!
I've never been a fan of V block but have friends who would stay no where else. Each to their own.
Judy
