I was at the Ronil for 2 weeks in December and I was pleasantly surprised - can't really think of anything negative about it other than the pillow.
I'll be in Calangute next week but I'll be visiting the Ronil for their Caldeirada!

Have stayed at the Ronil twice before and will be there again on 23rd march for 2 weeks. Nice clean apartments,sheets and towels changed regularly and pleasant staff. Could not wish to be in a better position for the beach,bars and restaurants(IMO). When are you going?
I'm one who placed a review and have stayed there 4 times but having called in recently, I do feel it's changed and not quite as good as it used to be. The rooms are basic and I just feel the market is moving ahead of the Ronil and it needs to raise its game a bit.
The position is excellent but Baga is now so busy - if you like to be right in the heart of things, it's a good choice. I wouldn't want to deter you because it's still a good spot but I just don't think it's as good as it was.

We met the manager - Rui in a bar in Panaji and he invited us back for a meal,absolute quality, we have returned each year to say hello and enjoyed every meal there. He showed us round the rooms and they all looked very good. Really nice setting, set round a central pool and terracing.

M2T, this is a nice hotel stayed there four times, you have made a good choice. What makes it for me is the staff they are excellent and its in a very good location, would say ask for a room in "V" block over looking the pool pref third floor (sun late afternoon), dont worry about stairs, they have had a lift installed in this block last year. And I will say, you will be back. Have a good one...... Jxk8.

stayed at the ronil twice, really liked it, but have been to the CSM for the last 3 years only because of its location right next to the beach. really miss the food at the ronil though, much better than the CSM. never had any complaints in any respect at the ronil. recommended accomadation.
just a pity it takes about 15 minutes to get to the beach.

When was the last time you stayed at the Ronil martin d, and did you not read my report I did say high floor, it would have to be some rising damp to reach the third floor, and this is by far the best block in the hotel, that is my opinion in all my visits to the hotel. Jxk8.
