Hi Everyone
Can you tell me what are the smoking policies in Malta these days. Do hotels have smoking areas or is it banned completely , also what is the price of cigarettes bought in Malta.
We are thinking of going for a group holiday and some of the members smoke so any info would be appreciated.
Many Thanks
Luckyrolls
Smoking in public enclosed spaces is banned as it is here. From what I can make out you are allowed to smoke outside but I get the impression they wouldn't hesitate to prosecute you if you break their laws on smoking which were put into place well before we brought in our ban.
When I book accomodation I still request a non-smoking room because it seems that some folks still insist on polluting hotel bedrooms with cigarette smoke but I don't know if that's legal or not?
As a non smoker I don't know how much cigarettes cost but I've no doubt there's someone out there that does. Hope this helps,
Trev
cigarettes are about Euro3.50-4
