Hi Suzy and welcome to HT!

Personally I would grab the flights at that price if they are non-stop, particularly the ones coming back on 24 December as you could get a lot of people trying to get home for Xmas which would push up the price.

Those weeks are very quiet in Vegas and you should get some great deals on rooms nearer the time, but be aware that many shows may be Dark at that time.

Yup, if those are direct I'd certainly take that price!

Should have moved quicker - they've gone up now :duh

I want to book asap but hubby wants to wait until the last minute - he does not want to be around me if they sell out and we can't go for the sake of £200!!!

Thanks for the advise Luci and TC :D

Soozy,

Beware of leaving Vegas flights till the last minute. I am a real last minute booker! I always try and leave it late to get a bargain, hotels in Vegas are fine to do that with but I booked my Virgin flights for September, back in January.........it's just not worth waiting these days.

I've been going to Vegas every year for the last 8 or 9 years and for the last five years or so flight prices have gone UP as you get nearer your departure date, they are very unlikely to go down so I'd keep an eye on the prices and if you see something decent, think seriously about booking them!

Cheers,

TC

I doubt you'd get a good price on a last minute flight with bmi as they tend to go up as the flight fills up.

Another option would be to go with Thomas Cook (formerly My Travel) as they often have cheap flights last minute, but they are supposed to be very cramped.

We went with MyTravel last time and it was bearable. Am still in negotiations with hubby so hope to book soon. Need to do it before Sunday ideally because if my team beat his in the Derby he won't be agreeing to anything for a long time!!!! :rofl

Mytravel (now Thomascook) flights are just fine as long as you don't expect anything approaching luxury or comfort. If you have only experienced European flights previously, you probably won't be disappointed unless you pay too much.

We have used them several times when the price has been right. Having said that, I'm only 5ft 1 in so legroom is not an issue to me.

I booked my seats in February and have saved £1,500 per seat on todays prices

Just checked the price of my flights for 4 weeks time and they are now £200pp more than when I booked in November.

Suzy, bmi usually have sales a couple of times a year so it may be worth holding on till the next one as you have a lot of time to play with. You can sign up on their website for email alerts. However it's worth checking the site every few days. I have actually seen their sale prices at more than I had already paid.
