I've just heard about people being put in jail in UAE for taking Melatonin with them, that I was planning on taking for the plane journey. We are flying to Thailand, but stop in Qater for an hour and a half both ways. When looking into this on the net, i also found out that vitamin tablets and even headache tablets are not allowed unless they are pre-sealed and with a doctor's written note. I usually take 3 different vitamin tabs along with probiotics all in a plastic bag to save on space as buying new packets just for the journey would take up too much space in my case.
Has anyone ever had problems with this? As i'm not sure if it's just an unlucky case or if it is actually illegal to take what's legal here through their customs esp as im going to Thailand, not actually stopping in UAE :-/
Can anyone please advise?

Don't think its worth the risk.... Just pack them in the correct packets, in your suitcase, to be on the safe side Denny
