All the time we were there we did not get bad stomachs.....we ate thai food and fish the whole time, all fresh ingredients and cooked fresh after you have ordered. It does depend where you eat and drink, we ate at Thai Noodle Restaurants, cost 25 or 35 THB, we also had a meal at the Seafood Supermarket. We bought, 1 Red Snapper, 2 huge tiger prawns, scallops, brocolli, asparagus and suger snap peas. All cooked to our liking for 1500 THB. Drink is maybe a little dearer than Goa, but a large bottle of Singha in the Supermarket was 57 THB. Also on the odd occasion ate from roadside (chicken Satay) 5 THB per piece. Gin and Tonic in Gullivers Bangkok was 90 THB, cannot recall the price of a large beer but it may have been about 120 THB, so yes more expensive than Goa. But as I say it all depends where you eat and drink, do not go western and stick to thai, you cannot go wrong.

Oh and I forgot a meter Taxi from the airport to the Sukhumvit Road area approximately £5.
