Stayed at The Skylark , a haven of tranquility , in the middle of town ,owned by Debbie and Snowkon Gonsalves, a lovely couple who are great for insider tips . Will do a report for the Hotel section. Did Holi in Panjim , what an experience !! Anjuna market it's huge, then went to the Shore Bar to relax in the comfy deckchairs with cushions , and enjoy the good food and music . Vagator and Chapora was a great day out . Did the usual shopping in Panjim and Margao . Trips to Agonda and Patnem beaches , saw the rains for the first time, Crocs are great in the wet much better than flip-flops . Met some really nice people from Finland, Germany, India, France, Austria, and the UK . No topless sunbathers, no badly behaved children or adults , no beach-traders bothering me , but quite a lot of beggars. Lots of walks along the beach to Benaulim , and rides on crowded buses . Yes there is a big problem with rubbish , as in the rest of India, and the Taxi prices are

Didn't go to any fancy restaurants just very ordinary places, with good food and prices. In Colva The Sea Pearl is very basic, but it's good for fish, excellent service , and value - a Doma fish big enough for two served with chips and veg cost 300Rs and a Kingfisher 50Rs.
