Are the untarred roads which lead to the beach areas of Calblanque, Bolnuevo and Cabo de Gata (Almeira)in decent condition to drive a non 4x4 over?
Also in mid June are the beaches in these areas likely to be busy?

Yes most of the tracks are fine and just be careful. The roads in the Cabo de Gata are rarely busy except maybe Fiestas and Sundays but even then I wouldnt describe them as being busy, John Beachcomber.
