Hi i notice aslemma, you have been to the show last year, what does it consist of, ie just a show or show and food and what kind of show. How much is it to get in can you remember. We will be staying at Riadh Palms how far is it roughly and how much in a taxi.
Has anyone else been.
Thanks carriejayne
You will find all details under the topic New Excursion from November 10th 2007 when you scroll down.
Hi Carriejayne, The Medinat Alzhara show is well worth seeing but when I went it was difficult to get to without going through your rep, as most of the taxis didn't actually know where it was and Sousse taxis are prevented from going that far Being with Tunisian friends we finished up transferring to a small louage for the final part of the journey and the driver gave us his phone nuimber and picked us up afterwards. The show and dinner cost 35 dinars, but I believe the rep charged £25 per head, including transport of course. You start off with a show of horsemanship etc. outside, then go in for dinner. There is a stage at both ends of the room where there is a fakir show etc. whilst you eat. After that you go outside to the arena where you sit on stone benches (mats provided) and watch the show. This is fantastic and covers the history of Tunisia through the ages - very colourful. It is done in three languages every evening so you have to choose an evening when English is included. Until the Tunisians get their act together to make it easier for visitors and locals to go you are probably better off going through your rep.
We also went to see this show last October and it was superb,so different to anything we have been to before. We booked with our rep, cost was £25 each, inc dinner and as much wine, beer, soft drinks and water you want, coach collected us from our hotel about 6pm,well worth going.
Thankyou everyone for your detailed replies, very helpful. Think we may try to visit it, sounds a good night.

It only talks if it feels like it but quite enjoys being spoken to. Tell your nephew not to try putting his fingers in the cage though.
