Just for eating drinking and couple of trips id say you`d need about £700
Not sure of prices in Hisaranou though
was planning on doing a little bit of shopping, will keep some extra cash for that, was thinking of allowing about £50 per day for eating out a few drinks at night and a few trips.
I agree with gunny, 50 pounds a day for two as I would take 100 a day for four of us if I was SC. Also Hisoranu seemed cheaper to me for shopping etc than Olu Deniz where I stayed, although of course Olu is worth visiting for the lagoon etc.
We spend on average £100 a day for two of us. That covers overs all our meals, drinks, trips and taxis. This also includes the odd handbag and nic nac jewellery purchases.
Looking at this year I had planned to take 20% more as the Lira was looking so low but it now apprears to be recovering nicely so don't think we will need it so I can see an extra visit being made to the gold shop to maybe get my daughters a nice bracelet or neckless.

its very difficult to give an idea of how much a day, depends how much you drink and if you eat fancy steaks, 3 course meals etc or like something simple like the turkish casseroles. i dont drink and eat simple food and still we managed to spend a fair amount each day and probably around £80 a day for 2 adults and 1 child, but we dont go on trips, neither smoke,i dont drink, thats eating cheaply and not fancy 3 course meals, but it is buying the odd designer copy
Evening meal really going all out with all courses and drinks was costing us around £25.00 for 3 of us. That would be our whole evening though with great food as we like to plonk ourselves down and eat a lot. Other times we just went and had something like pide (turkish pizza) with salad and drinks which was costing us only about £10 for complete feast for 3, again making whole evening of it. Do make sure you go and eat at the Ghost Town. I cant remember what the restaurant was called where you could cook at your table but it was great. Someone else will know. Jin Bal or something like?
This is such a difficult question to ask!!!You may like 10 pints a night or just a couple, you may buy all your drinks from your hotel bar or apts bar,or go to the supermarket and purchase them!!big difference between the two!!all depends on how you want to budget!when I said last year how much money I spent on my holiday,I was called a liar!!so Im not going to say.Last year a 4 course meal in a nice restaurant was about 20 lira,£8,Full english breakfast about 5 lira,£2.My recommendation is take some cheese with you,Turkish crusty fresh bread is about 20p georgeous for lunch with a slice of tomato, makes my mouth water!!!.Trips are a lot cheaper than anywhere else in europe
do you think you should be suggestin this when you can buy cheddar in migros or azda's
Ive been taking my cheese in a small coolbag in my case every year, never seen cheddar cheese in Migros!,will look out for it this time.
I've just got the book out that we used last year to write down what we were spending in an attempt to not go overboard. On average we were spending around £30 a day on food (just lunch and dinner - we stayed b&b too so either had breakfast there or slept in too late for it ) The most we spent in a day was £120, but that was a day we went shopping, and to the water park. The only other day we spent anywhere near that amount was the day we arrived when we had air con and safety deposit box to pay for. I'd say £50 a day would be plenty.
I guess I go on the premise what I don't have I can't spend although never went without yet

Our first holiday cost more- but we had a hollow legged teenager with us ,known affectionatly as 'the bin'...
We are going All Inclusive end of September for 14 nights, 2 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 4. We were just wandering how much money to take with us, we are staying in Torba at the Izer Beach hotel . We are not planning any trips as such maybe the aquapark but that's it.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

i would say 1,000 pds plenty we are 2 adults one son aged 15 now, but last year he was 14, he had about 80 pds spends for clothes and only drinks cola of a nite time, this year though may have to get him the odd beer, only one a nite maybe if he asks, we bought jeans and drank every night, if you are going in july you wont eat much as the heat puts you off, its really cheap 1.50 for full breakfast even cheaper if you go out you can gt them for 90p, stef
If I plan on any big purchases or trips I bring extra.
But it covers nic naks & cheap trips.
For instance we are off to Sharm all inclusive in June, so we will allow £50 per day, so £700 & bring extra for Cairo trip & scuba diving. But i would expect the £700 to cover the odd meal out, bus & local taxi fares & any cheap trips like a boat trip or something.
So £700 for spends, £200-£300 for Cairo & £100 ish for half day beginer scuba taster for 2.
We don't drink hardly anything & don't smoke, so no duty frees.
Hi folks,
I'm sure £700 - £1000 will be fine for 2 adults & 2 young kids all inclusive fo two weeks.
I also think that will be plenty for two weeks AI for 2 adults and 2 kids. It's similar to what we took in 2006.
We did at least 3 full day trips and that was x 4, booked through Thomson not the cheap people as I am cautious. We went out most nights for a couple of hours after we had our evening meal, indulged in the odd cocktail & efes, Had a few meals out as well, went shopping one morning in Fethyie, went to Kaya Koy under our own steam, took taxis and dolmuses to various places. Bought tons of turkish delight to bring home, loads of dress (not gold) jewellery and gameboy games from the little stalls in Olu & Hisoranu. Bought branded icecreams all the time when out and probably loads of other stuff that I have forgotten.
This was the Olu Deniz area which I understand is a bit cheaper than Bodrum & Antalya regions, but I don't suppose there is that much difference.
