Can anyone tell me if their is a dress code in the restuarant. I read somewhere that men must wear long trousers at all times. If that's right, I'll need to pack some, but I'm concerned about getting too hot in long trousers.

Does this hotel suffer from Mozzies? Will we need to take repellant with us can anyone tell me please?

Can anyone answer these questions please?

Hi, just read your message..... Not been on the site for a while! We stayed at Louis Creta from 10th to 17th June. No trouble from the mozzies. Not one bite and didn't even see or hear any. Whether that is the case later on in the season I couldn't say. If you have any other questions about the hotel don't hesitate to ask.

I have e-mailed the hotel directly and have had it confirmed that the Louis Creta Princess does have a dress code in their restaurant. It only applies to evening Dinner though and Men must wear long trousers. :cry

I also emailed the hotel directly before we went out to the Louis Creta Princess and they told me the same thing which my husband wasn't too happy about but he thought at least it will keep the standards somewhat higher. However, they really are relaxed about it and there isn't anyone checking at all - there is no one on the door to the restaurant. By the 2nd night my husband wore his smart 3/4 length trousers and I would say 50% of the male diners also wore these trousers. So just to give you some idea - they really are quite relaxed about things within reason. To be honest though I didn't see anyone going to dinner looking like they hadn't made an effort. Everyone was smart casual.

Now that is good news. I was planning on wearing 3/4 lengths, but I will probably take a long pair of linen trousers just in case.

Thanks for that. I have just read your review and I have a couple of questions.

When you say that drinks are served in small plastic cups, how small is small? In turkey the plastic cups were just under a pint, are they the same size as that or are they a lot smaller? If they are too small, then I think I might take my own. Is the beer still self service? What about the cocktails? Are they part of the all inclusive range?

Ref the kids club. You said that only 16 places are available. Is that with the First Choice kids club or with the hotel run club?

Sorry for all the questions, but please do come back with the answers. ;)

duncan, the plastic cups are small less than half a pint , some cocktails are on all inc again served in plastic (no frills i.e no brollys or fruit on the side) and the kids club is the first choice one would you believe that british children are not allowed in the hotel run kids club so why first choice even state this in their brochure is a mystery) please dont be put off , we had a great time :sun2

Thanks for coming back to me on those questions.

I was in Matalan today and they do some nice hard plastic pint glasses which I think I will buy and take with me. They were only £1.50 each.

Can you just confirm that the drinks are self service please?

I'm astounded that they don't allow British kids into the kids club. Can they do that???? This will mean that my two kids will not be allowed in either as they are too old for the First Choice club as it stops at age 8 according to the brochure. My youngest is 9.

drinks are self service at the pool bar, but by the show in the evening they are served.

we had the same problem with the kids club our eldest being nine , and asked the hotel staff, apparently this is nothing to do with the hotel but first choice. (a phone call to them before you travel might help).

your children will be able to join in the activities during the day just not go in the club.

to tell you the truth it didnt really matter , the staff are great they will love it .

give a big hello to alex and steph for us just mention daaaawwwn (as they called her) and donna the dancing queens

Thanks again. I'm not sure I'm happy with the size of the plastic cups! Do they allow you to get more than one drink at a time? And can you tell me what the beach is like. I was under the impression that it was sandy with sones but having seen a photo on another review site, I'm hard pressed to find one grain of sand. It seemed to look more like Brighton beach with all the stones.

We are travelling with a disabled young girl who adores playing on the beach and that won't be possible with a pebble beach.

duncan, you can get as many drinks as you like, the plastic pint glass sounds a great idea to me . as for the beach , your right it is difficult to find any sand but for a day out there are some sandy beaches close by - very cheap on bus or we hired a car from across the road for 70 € for 2 days (and that was a 7 seater) . so jealous now i wish i could go back :cry
