Hello,
I'm planning a 6-month European camping trip for next year (mid-October to mid-April) and know roughly zero about what to expect in terms of year-round campground availability, preferred warm-weather countries/locations, etc.
I'd be very grateful to communicate with anyone who may have experience, insights or tips with regard to the planning and execution of this trip from Canada.
Thank you very much.

In France and Germany, nearly every site closes during the winter period. Be very careful in your selection of sites, and double check the opening hours with the owners. Might a cheap hotel room such as those of the Etap and Formula 1 chains be acceptable instead?
