Over £5000 My sister is going exact same dates, same party size and has paid £2600 with Olympic hols staying in Candolim(though her particular hotel sold out not long after booking).

We go on the 18th till the 4th of jan to the Highland Beach family of 4 cost £4212 that dosent include our flights down to Manchester

Sounds like a lot of dosh. Just looked at Jewel in Crown and for your party on those dates price comes out at £3416. This includes transfers and meals but flight is with Monarch . Still a lot of money though.

I think I did quite well with our Xmas holiday as we are going on 20 December 2 weeks staying at The Highland Beach with First Choice . Total £1898 for 2 adults , I have looked around recently and most holidays for 2 on the same date are from about £2800 ! I do think it is best to book early for Xmas to get the very best prices.

Maybe because of less flights, the price is hiked up.

Mind you, this will appeal to a certain person 'in charge' who only wants big spenders and no 'white trash'. Interesting indeed.

We usually go with First Choice, but got a price on the internet for Manos at over £1000 cheaper for 3 weeks over the Christmas period. The only difference was a Sunday flight instead of a Saturday, and the plane was Monarch, whick I wasn't looking forward to.

It did however mean a very early departure to return home.

We then got a letter from Manos saying that due to all the mergers, that flight was cancelled and we were now going on the Saturday with Thomson. I see they have the extra leg room, and the flight times are better, so hopefully have had a result.

the package of FC is coming to over £1273 pp for 2 weeks and thats leaving on the 26th dec
we want to go hopefully for two weeks for xmas and new year
dont really mind if it stops over for a few hours so long as we get there!

paid just over £4000 for 5 adults,flying from Gatwick with FC on xmas day. Staying for 2 weeks at the Osborne in Calangute. I thought this was reasonable considering the time of year
