Hello,
we're coming to the costa del sol next week to a timeshare place called Dona Lola, could anyone please advise me if there is any public transport from Malaga airport to the Calahonda area (where the complex is), or roughly, how much a taxi would be.
thanks in anticipation, Paul.

Dona Lola is on the beach side of Calahonda , I have used the pool there a few times it is a nice complex
Around the area on the same side of the road you have plenty of restaurants and bars, we use Oscar's bar for a drink and their quiz night on a Thursday is really good, (if you are into that kind of thing). It is a freindly family run bar and always has some entertainment on, a lot of locals use it too as the owner runs a Golf Society and it safe for kids if you have any to play outside.
There are a couple of nice restaurants around there too we used one back in March called (I think)? "The Restaurant" and the food was to die for.
Across the road you have the El Zoco" centre which again has plenty of bars, shops and eating places. All in all everything is within walking distance.
Hope you enjoy it?
Regards
Ann
Yes the trains only go as far as Fuengirola. Imagine a Taxi would be about 40 euro but not sure as they may have increased. Lots of places to eat and drink around there but better to have a car. For the cost of a Taxi both ways it is about the same price of a small hire car.
But even if you don't and are comfortable with driving over there, cost of a small car is cheaper than taxi's to and from the airport.

http://www.donalola.net/info.html says it's 35km from Malaga airport and that a taxi is approx
€50 each way. Also suggests using the train to Fuengirola, then the Fuengirola - Marbella bus
which passes the Dona Lola Resort entrance.
