Yet another woman who sorts it all out! I don't mind too much though as it means I get to pick the destination, hotels etc. I can't imagine anyone else but me packing my suitcase though - the idea sends me into a cold sweat - I'm sure the OH would end up packing the wrong clothes. If anyone on here has ever heard of Myers-Briggs personality typing then I'm definitely an extreme 'J'! To the unintiated, it basically means that those of us who are hyper organised just can't help it!

I sort our stuff out for the holidays, although I must admit, I haven't actually organised the last 2 we have been on as we have gone with the diving school we belong to called Frog Squad...but even then, Mrs Frog has organised everything.

With regards to sorting out our attendance on those holidays, i take care of all of that. i amke sure everythign is paid for, all passports are in date, all currency ordered etc..and when it boils down to it.. I make sure the cases are packed and nothign is forgotten. i organise animal welfare for the dog and the 2 mogs whilst we are away, I organise transport to and from the airport. In fact, it's no wonder i need a blitty holiday after all that organising!

Me - I literally do everything. The only thing I've asked hubby to do for our Easter holiday is pick up some luggage labels. Guess what? - that's right, he hasn't got any :que

And that's where HT comes at the rescue:

No need to go to a shop or rely on these labels being available at check-in.

Added bonus: you can recognise the label instantly on the belt as it is fairly unique.

And they're free ;)

Another female organiser - other half just nods his approval at various brochures, confirms he can get the time off work and piles his clothes next to case for packing - then I check to see what he's forgotton ;)

OK, perhaps I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to holidays but I know what I want and wouldn't want anyone else to make those decisions. It's worked OK so far, including planning independant fly/drives to Canada and New zealand.

I used to do everything even though it was a joint decision on where to go. However hubby has recently discovered the internet at work having shown absolutely no interest in it at home.

He has been researching shows for our upcoming trip to Vegas in April. I sorted out the hotels and flights. Yesterday he came home with a great deal on an AI trip to Benidorm for November which we are now mulling over.

I'm actually enjoying having another pair of eyes finding things out after the onus being on me for the past umpteen years.

Me!
OH doesn't like all the pre-holiday stuff, if he could click his heels and be there a la Dorothy he would be extremely happy!
I've always planned the family holidays (with a little consultation to the bloke that pays of course) but ultimately he just nods and pays.
We've just completed our first totally diy holiday and I'm so proud of myself, but I think I've made a rod for my own back because my daughter and her partner (who were with us) have now set me the task of researching their week long break for May half term and yet another family break for next easter!

its useally me i decide where we go, im the one that books it and im the one that packs lol hubby leaves it to me 'as long as its a holiday i don't mind' in his words but if were going away in a group i let the others take the lead

Its always me, I asked `himself` months ago to have a look thru the brochures etc - he spent a whole weekend looking, and that was it. He has never mentioned holidays again - we go to Sharm on the 22nd May and he doesn`t even know yet!!!! may have to mention it this weekend though as need the cases out of the loft.

It's definitely moi!! He flicks through the brochures a few times looks at the pictures and says 'whatever, wherever you choose you know what to do' and leaves it to me. In fact if it wasn't for me prompting or nagging I'd doubt we'd go anywhere. I think women find organising things natural, we like to plan ahead for everything birthdays, christmas etc. But I prefer it that way, just let him know how much it will cost cause I know if I left it up to him something would go wrong :D

Would definatly be me.
all OH does is the night before bring the suitcases downstiars in the hallway. wakes the kids up in the morning and says , " are we boarding yet? " ( once at the airport) . and pays for most of it ;)

after we have payed *i* have to go out and buy all the familys holiday clothes toiletries airport bags airport clothes ect.. Then *i* have to pack it all , *i* have to make sure all the passports are ok . *i* have to sort out transfers to and from airports, *i* have to exchange money, *i* have to look after all the things the family cant , because they know they would loose them, oh & OH drags the kids bags round the airport while they spend all our money in the duty free shops! ect... :rofl

Bet whoever posts on here is the organiser! ;) This year hubby found the holiday as he was looking, we both Googled the hotel and read up on it and then decided to book online. He then sorts paying for it (by that I mean handing the cash over, I'm the one who works for it with a little help from OH), he sorts the car parking as well.

We both shop for bits of new stuff, my daughter's clothes etc.

I have what he wants packing and I iron and pack everything, two people only get in the way.

He sorts currency, I have tickets etc at airport.

He sorts locking house up, window locks etc.

Only trouble is.....my mum and dad are coming....eek :really who organises them!

I do, I suggest a few places and then I pick the hotel after about a week on the web trying to find a decent one.

It amazes me reading the reveiws, one person says terrible place and the other best place ever. I tend to believe the terrible one.

It's a joint decision with us to begin with, deciding on where to go then I usually sort things from their. The flights have to be good and if there's the option of flying on an aircraft type or airline I've never used before, I have to find those options!
